Huahine...Polynesian Paradise

Teresa's Vocabulary: 

During our honeymoon we stayed at the Te Tiare resort on the island of Huahine in French Polynesia.

It was secluded and quiet.  We didn't even venture off the resort.  Everything we wanted was right there.

We stayed in our own hut over the water, with our own dock for snorkeling and swimming.

The Garden Isle

Teresa's Vocabulary: 

Kauai is my favorite Hawaiian Island.  We were engaged there and we spent over a week on the island as part of our honeymoon, so it holds a special place in my heart.

We like to stay at the Hyatt in Poipu when we visit.  Here we have a photo of Shipwreck Beach that runs in front of the hotel.

Beautiful Maui!

Teresa's Vocabulary: 

On my previous visits to Maui I had stayed in the Ka'anapali resort area and I really wanted to experience another side of the island, both literally and figuratively!  So, the last time we went, we did the drive to Hana and stayed for a few days at the Hotel Hana.  It was wonderful!  It was so peaceful and relaxing.  I could have stayed there the entire time.  Our cottage faced east, so one morning I rose early and took some sunrise photos from our deck.

Arubaversary!

Teresa's Vocabulary: 

I spent an anniversary in Aruba!  We visited in August 2007, just as Hurricane Alex was passing through.  Luckily, all we experienced was some rain from the outer bands, but it sure was interesting flying past a hurricane.  The view from the plane was incredible!  When we arrived at this "One Happy Little Island" we were greeted by very friendly people and a relaxed atmosphere.  We rented a car (which I really wish we'd taken a photo of, since it was quite a piece of work!) and drove around the island.  We had a map, but it was virtually useless since not only were many of the roads and str
